My romantic suspense, Lady Farquhar's Butterfly, will be released on May 31, 2010. Coincidentally, this will be the 14th anniversary of my mother's death. Mum was a great believer in my eventual success, offering plenty of encouragement as the rejections rolled in. Who else would have ploughed through my first adolescent effort - 550 pages in which the heroine drowns on the final page - and declared it stellar? She'd have been proud and if I'd known, I'd have dedicated this one to her!
